How to build plank wall all by yourself.

Out of all the rooms in my house, my master bedroom has given me the most trouble. I have redecorated this baby about 10 times in the last six years! Well, I’m determined to get it “right” this time (for at least a year or so) and that required the addition of a plank wall. I have wanted one for a few years so it was just time to do it already! This tutorial is great if you are going to be building a wall 100% by yourself with no help from anyone. And if you have limited upper-arm strength! Seriously, if I can build this wall, then your seven year old can probably build it too. Wimpy upper-arms unite and let’s do this thing!

minibar in a jar (an easy gift idea)

The best part of making gifts in jars is that it usually goes together super quickly. This minibar in a jar idea definitely follows suit – in just a few minutes you can create a gift for those who enjoy the occasional drink. You could even create a themed minibar in a jar if you wanted to match your wedding or event.

DIY French Graphic Table Makeovers

This week I finally finished the twin to the Table Makeover with French Perfume Graphic that I showed you guys two weeks ago.  I’m happy I have a pair that coordinates now, and these look perfect together!  (There’s a photo of both tables together at the bottom of this post.)

15 Things to Clean More Often

C’mon, admit it. Cleaning is no fun. It’s a chore that never seems to end. But while you’re cleaning the obvious things in your house like the toilets and kitchen floor, here are some things that you might forget to do…

A Damage Free Way to Hang a Planter

I knew I wanted to have a planter box on the railing of our patio balcony but I couldn’t find one that didn’t require drilling into something. I needed a damage free way to hang a planter.
That planter shown above is everywhere and to hang it I went into my nearest Home Depot and grabbed a 6″ Worm Gear Clamp. This works like a charm. I just attached it to the flower planter by weaving it through the metal frame. It adjusts so you can get the perfect grip on your railing.
For you renters, this is a great idea! It’s damage free hanging and it supports the weight of the planting box. It costs less than a dollar too, so it’s a great option.
